The Bugeye is a Wave 4 release using the Hong Kong casting dated 1970. The CIPSA version of the Bugeye is unique in a number of ways. The paint colors are not found in normal production, either HK or US. The interior is a stark white color whereas the US "white" interior has a more cream colored tint. The glass on the CIPSA version is different having almost a pale blue tint. Some Bugeyes have Type 1 Capped redline wheels while others have the Type 3 blackwall through-hole wheel with the raised hubcap.
